I've noticed a few of you have been spending some time on Scootpad working on reading and math skills.
Dana has earned a sticker. Gabby will be my classroom helper next Tuesday. Sadie will be my classroom helper next Wednesday. Please study your spelling words that are posted in the Language section.
Our class will soon be working in science on a building unit. We will be stretching our brains to come up with all kinds of interesting structures, bridges, and cool inventions. I would really appreciate it if you could save for us a few of these items, most of which would be headed for your recycling box or garbage can anyway. The more materials we have
on hand will certainly be a great benefit for the students. Here are some examples. paper rolls and tubes fabric samples strawberry baskets bamboo skewers tin cans pieces of 2”x4” no longer than 2’ wood doweling plastic lids spools milk cartons cereal boxes clothes pins tiny boxes pieces of tile shoe boxes string/yarn/wool styrofoam meat trays I'll give a prize to the first student that leaves a comment telling me where this picture of my mom and kids was taken. Don't forget that there is no school tomorrow. I hope that everyone has a terrific spring break. I also wanted to remind everyone that Monday, March 31 will be Miss. Wald's last day with us. I will be resuming teaching full days April 1. This Wednesday is sleep late day! Come to school in your pjs. You can bring your teddy bear too if he wants to come. Yay, Mr. K has booked the arena for Friday. We will be skating indoors this Friday, leaving the school at 12:15. Please be sure students have skates and a helmet to be able to participate.
